She has just launched a second book, The Driver, an outsiders look into the importance of the transport industry. She has climbed many mountains, been on life support, seen things many people wouldn’t fathom and faced copious amounts of roadblocks and nay sayers in her journey as a rural photographer and entrepreneur.
Alix McFarland is a creative photographer living and working on a Hay Plains sheep station in the western Riverina region of NSW, Australia.
Alix captures pure moments in time - a stockdog's focus, newly drafted lambs bouncing out of the yards, loading a truck at first light on the station, a candid greeting on the street, people living their own unique experiences, the colour of fresh produce, a nourishing plate, the action of the shearing shed, the challenges of a life's work, the scenes that make a community just that.
She specialises in people & animal portraiture, station & rural photography, documentary photography and paddock to plate produce & food imagery, as well as photographing selective events.
AUSTRALIA's NATURE & LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY BY DI WATSON
Country & Outback Photography is my passion and has been since I started Di Watson Photography 25 years ago, originally specialising in Weddings & Portraits, at my indoor/outdoor studio at Mulgoa on a friends farm on the outskirts of Sydney. In recent years I have enjoyed photographing many country weddings & family portrait shoots, and love to hear from you if you would like a chat about your family shoots & weddings.
Rural photography for me has been a passion ever since I picked up my Dad's old film slr on the farm when I was a teenager. I now travel the country photographing families and the Australian bush landscape from my base in the Central West of NSW. I have captured images of shearing sheds, abandoned homesteads, kelpie dogs, canola fields, sheep, cattle, horses, beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets, the list goes on. My aim is to share our great country with everyone through photographs.
All my images can be purchased as fine art prints, canvas or aluminium metal prints through my online store or by via email email@example.com Family session bookings at your farm or mine can also be made online or via email.
I am a self-trained rodeo and rural photographer located in Yass, NSW. I enjoy capturing the beauty that is provided to me by Mother Nature, including all creatures great and small. I also photograph cattle shows and rodeos across NSW and Victoria.
I love an adventure so with owner's permission I am always looking for somewhere new to visit and capture.
All photos are available for purchase in any format of the buyer's choosing
I am a Rural Imagery Specialist capturing the beautiful scenery and people that I am lucky enough to be surrounded by every day out on the Riverina Hay Plains and during my travels. From the splendour of a simple sunset to the intense action of a kelpie working sheep I aim to capture every moment in all its raw beautiful glory.
All my work is available to purchase through me on the highest quality Canvas, Aluminium, Acrylic or Fine Art paper prints, all printed in Australia.
Ben Simpson is an internationally recognised photographer. His images reflect an organic relationship between subjects.
You will not find Ben’s images anywhere else. Ben provides individual and specialized photographic services to companies and business wanting to effectively communicate, develop a marketing edge or simply record history and events. Rural life is still mainly governed by natural forces, beauty and hard work. Ben Simpson’s rural images reflect the essence of this life. Ben’s images are big, striking and colourful.
‘I consider myself lucky to live and work doing what I love. The images I take are not for the sake of “art”, rather a result of the environments I work in. I travel throughout the world taking images for mostly private clients who entrust me to represent them in a natural and empathetic manner.’
I manage an organic beef cattle station in western Queensland, Australia. My photography focuses mostly on the agricultural industry, landscapes, travel, and the people and animals I work with on a daily basis.
I sell prints and some digital files. The prints are printed on high quality archival 300GSM cotton rag and framed using high quality mat board and moulding. Custom framing is available. Refer to my website!
Christine Porter is a full time artist, making artwork of and about the sheep, wool and cattle industries. She specializes in watercolours of shearing sheds – usually creating a series of paintings that become like a portrait of the place.
The resultant projects, usually commissioned by the owner, can be as small as one painting and as large as a whole exhibition.
I am based on a rural property in South-West Victoria, and specialise in rural, landscape and nature photography, as well as destination marketing for tourism. I adore country life and this big wide beautiful world we all share, and it is a pleasure to be able to share it through the images I capture.
All images can be purchased via my website as fine art prints, on canvas, or digitally for marketing and promotional purposes. Enquiries welcome via my website or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for looking! Georgie x
I'm located in SE Qld and am a self taught photographer who has taken a keen interest in country landscape photography, including sunrises and sunsets and slowly branching out into portraiture and wedding. I love scouting for properties, and with owners permission, spending time wandering taking photos of windmills, old buildings like dairies, woolsheds, as well as livestock. I am looking for properties to be able to visit and take photos at my leisure, usually as the sun is going down.
I'm a Shearer and part-time photographer, and I am incredibly lucky to take photos of the woolsheds and the amazing Australian countryside in which I work every day. I am based out of Ballarat in Victoria, but always travelling.
You can buy all of my images as ready to hang Framed photos, individual prints, and much, much more.
With a farming background, born & raised in Holland and being self though in photography, I'm exploring the world to experience and see where it will bring me. Living my life as a traveller I feel very privileged to capture the wonderful world around us.
Day in day out it keeps surprising me and I love to take these special moments to enjoy others. All my work can be purchased and has been taken as I saw it through the lens (so it hasn't been edited afterwards...)!

I live on a cattle station in Western Queensland and firmly believe that although there is disconnect between city and country, the outback still beats loudly in the collective Australian heart. I love celebrating our lifestyle by documenting and sharing it with people from all walks of life, welcoming everyone into it through various artistic mediums.
My biggest project is the book Bush Kids, which boasts hundreds of photos from more than 30 stations.
