ABOUT THE RESEARCH ROUND YARD
The National Library of Australia's Trove is a free repository of Australian material, including almost a million Australian theses.
We are currently working with stakeholders on how to best deliver research and trial results to the public. Please bear with us and thanks for being patient!
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any suggestions, comments, or if you would like to join us at the table.
There are many private and public institutions in Australia (including 13 universities) committed to delivering agricultural research.
But how often do we engage with the work that they do?
Presently, research and trial information is often not presented in a digestable or accessible format. This means the producer, the independent agronomist or consultant, or the budding agricultural student, does not engage with the latest information to come out of our research institutions.
Extension is impossibly if the literature is not easily understood.
So, The Farm Table wants to bridge the gap between academic research and the farming community.
Rather than merely being a repository or library of existing research papers, the Research Round Yard organises and summarises — in plain English — relevant work performed across the industry.
THE FARM TABLE WILL DISSEMINATE THE LATEST RESEARCH AND TRIAL RESULTS IN THE INDUSTRY IN A MANNER THAT IS ACCESSIBLE, READABLE AND PRACTICAL.
84% of The Farm Table survey respondents stated that the dissemination of results from field trials and research in a central place online would be 'very useful' or 'somewhat useful'.
